INTRODUCTION
Maverick Schools (comprising Maverick International Primary School and Maverick International Secondary School) under Maverick Education Sdn Bhd ("We") value and are committed to protecting Personal Data. This Personal Data Protection Notice ("Notice") explains the collection, processing, and disclosure of your Personal Data in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 ("Act").
We reserve the right to modify, update, or amend this Notice at any time. You are encouraged to check our website periodically for any updates. By continuing to communicate with us, use our services, or engage with us after such changes, you are deemed to have agreed to the modifications, and they shall be binding upon you.
COLLECTION OF PERSONAL DATA

Parents/Enquirers/Applicants:
- i. Personal details, including information about other individuals identifiable from the data;
- ii. Health records;
- iii. Travel document details;
- iv. Information obtained from our website, forms, and collected documents; and/or
- v. Other relevant information.
Children/Students:
- i. Personal details, including but not limited to name, address, contact numbers, identity card/passport details, and identifiable details of other individuals;
- ii. Photographs, images, and visual content in any media or format (including digital and electronic formats);
- iii. Video recordings and other pictorial media;
- iv. Class work (written, visual, or otherwise) created for academic or non-academic purposes;
- v. Health records;
- vi. Travel document details;
- vii. Information obtained from our website, forms, and collected documents; and/or
- viii. Other relevant information.
Alumni:
- i. Personal details, including information about other identifiable individuals;
- ii. Employment information;
- iii. Information obtained from alumni-related websites, forms, and collected documents; and/or
- iv. Other relevant information.
Employees :
- i. Personal details, including information about other identifiable individuals;
- ii. Employment details, including but not limited to income tax information and EPF number;
- iii. Travel document details (for expatriates);
- iv. Information obtained from employment-related forms and documents; and/or
- v. Other relevant information
(Collectively referred to as "Personal Data").
Cookies: By visiting our website, interacting with us, or providing Personal Data, you consent to the collection, use, and processing of your Personal Data as described in this Notice.

Providing the Personal Data specified above is obligatory for fulfilling the purposes outlined in Paragraph C

This includes messaging, video conferencing, file sharing, academic assessments, and other educational or operational activities; and/or
- x. For purposes incidental or related to the above.
Children/Students:

- v. For statistical analysis;
- vi. To fulfill legal or regulatory obligations; and/or
- vii. To facilitate communication, collaboration, learning, and administrative functions through digital platforms and software, including but not limited to Microsoft Teams, learning management systems, email services, student information systems, and other related applications. This includes messaging, video conferencing, file sharing, academic assessments, and other educational or operational activities; and/or
- viii. For purposes incidental or related to the above.
Employees:
- i. For internal records throughout employment;
- ii. Payroll administration, including EPF and SOCSO contributions;
- iii. Communication purposes;
- iv. For taxation and auditing requirements;
- v. To fulfill legal or regulatory obligations;
- vi. To facilitate communication, collaboration, learning, and administrative functions through digital platforms and software, including but not limited to Microsoft Teams, learning management systems, email services, student information systems, and other related applications. This includes messaging, video conferencing, file sharing, academic assessments, and other educational or operational activities; and/or and/or
- vii. For purposes incidental or related to the above.
(Collectively referred to as "Purposes").
DISCLOSURE TO THIRD PARTIES
Where necessary, Personal Data may be disclosed to:
- i. External professional advisors and auditors;
- ii. Government authorities and regulatory bodies;
- iii. Universities and schools;
- iv. Travel agencies or companies;
- v. Insurance agents or companies; and/or
- vi. Payroll service and or other digital solutions providers.
DATA SECURITY AND TRANSFER OF PERSONAL DATA
Should Personal Data be transferred outside Malaysia due to cloud computing services or other businessrelated needs, we shall implement appropriate confidentiality safeguards to protect personal data rights.
YOUR RIGHTS
Access and Correction
Personal Data must be accurate, complete, and up-to-date. If you become aware of any inaccuracies, please notify us at the details provided in Paragraph H. Requests for access or corrections may be subject to applicable laws and fees.
Withdrawal of Consent
You may withdraw consent for the collection, use, disclosure, storage, and processing of your Personal Data at any time. Kindly provide reasonable notice, and we will inform you of any consequences, such as reduced service quality.
Objection to Processing
You may submit a written request for us to cease or not start processing your Personal Data for a specified purpose if it is likely to cause substantial and unwarranted harm.
RETENTION OF PERSONAL DATA
Personal Data will be retained only for as long as necessary to fulfill the specified purposes. We will take steps to permanently delete or destroy Personal Data when no longer required.
